What is the RTO Predictor product?

RTO Predictor VAS is Delhivery’s AI-led product offering powered by the "RTO One AI engine" built to reduce RTOs for D2C Brands / eCommerce companies. RTO Prediction service offers the most accurate insights into the likelihood of returns with a score that enables user to assess the Risk of Return and plan proactive interventions. These insights are derived from customer delivery behavior across 1 Billion plus shipment deliveries spanning 18,500+ pin codes pan-India.

This product allows users to

  1. View the Risk of Return score before shipping them with Delhivery
  2. Take actions on High Risk orders to reduce RTOs

How does the RTO Score Prediction work?

  1. Delhivery takes data Inputs provided by the clients like Consignee details (Mobile Number & address), product name & category, shipment value, and payment method.
  2. RTO score (between 0.0 to 1.0) is then calculated based on the historical performance of shipments closer to input parameters provided by the user. The higher the RTO score, the higher is the probability of the shipment being returned.
  3. RTO Score is shown as a Risk of Return flag on Delhivery One for clients to take action.
    1. High Risk: highlights the high risk in shipping the order based on factors like incorrect address or consignee’s past RTO history, etc.
    2. Low Risk:  highlights the low risk in shipping the order. The consignee has a good historical account of not returning orders and their address is valid.
    3. Medium Risk: highlights moderate risk.
